Food Services

Our mission at the Gull Lake Kitchen is to provide you with wholesome, delicious and nutritious food that is pleasing to the body, mind and spirit. We aim to be good stewards and honor our bodies with the food that we eat.

We aim to buy local produce as much as possible; our meats predominantly come from locally raised and butchered animals, our yogurt is produced right here in Lacombe.

You find fresh fruit every morning with breakfast, and either salads or veggies with the lunches and dinners; our in-house European style bakery supplies all our baking needs, from fresh baked wholesome breads and fs2buns, pizzas, cakes, danishes and other delicious snacks.

Our beyond-fair-trade  Doi Chaang Coffee http://www.doichaangcoffee.ca  is also certified organic and is a delight for even the most sophisticated coffee drinker.  All our coffee bars in the various buildings are stocked with this coffee as well as a selection of teas.

We are happy to also offer gluten-free meal options and are very thankful to the “Totally Gluten-free Bakery”  in Lacombe, who generously donate all of our gluten- free baking needs. We also cater to other dietary needs such as vegetarian, lactose intolerance etc.

fs3We thrive to offer you a good variation of different meals, so you may have waffles with berries and whipping cream at one breakfast together with fruit and cereals, the next day we may serve you a hearty Frittata with our famous ham & cheddar scones. Lunch could be a beef or vegetable lasagna with Garlic bread and a crisp Caesar salad, some sandwiches on wholesome homemade bread with a selection of deli meats and cheeses and a minestrone soup or a Quiche Lorraine with tossed salad. Dinners vary from Maple glazed Hams with mashed potato and a roasted veggie medley to juicy BBQ chicken thighs with oven roasted potato wedges and green beans to a delicious roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, potatoes and carrots. Dinner is always followed by a yummy dessert.

Late evening snacks are served daily and can range from fresh baked Danishes, mini-pizzas, chips & salsa, chocolate brownies, giant oatmeal cookies to fresh made popcorn.
