Summer Camping |
|
|
|
Last week was our biggest summer camp in the 89 year history of Gull Lake.
We had 114 Jr. Boys and Girls aged 6-10 out for an amazing 3 day camp!
Mike, Nicole and Christie from Crossroads Church in Red Deer were the
speakers and told us awesome stories of who God is and how we can be
LEGENDARY people! It was rainy and gloomy all week long but we didn't let
that stop us, in fact I am pretty sure that mud only makes camp better!
Some of the highlights were mud soccer, Mission Impossible II (an indoor
wide game that uses the entire building), and meeting new friends. It was a
great week of camp and I thank all the campers for coming and all the staff
and volunteers for the great work that they did. Can't wait to see you next
year!
Grace and Peace,
Steve Roadhouse

Welcome to the Gull Lake Centre |
|
|
Our Story
Since 1920, the Gull Lake Centre has offered camping and retreats for people of all ages from across Alberta. In that time over 33,000 people have come to GLC to
have the most meaningful week of their year as a result of deep connections forming between one another and with God. Love, fun, excitement and new or
renewed faith are ripples that spread into families and communities
around us. Each ripple washes outward … one relationship at a time. Lives have been changed, the Kingdom has grown and leaders have emerged from as little as a weekend retreat and as much as a few years of full time service. It is as if there is a power in the place, an unmistakable mystery overwhelms people as they travel off the highway, down the treed lane to set foot on the property: things clear, change is sensed and people come to life.
