Climbing at Gull Lake Centre is back and better than ever with a completely redone climbing wall! For those with a competitive spirit, our tandem speed wall is ready for action. Race your friend side-by-side or try to beat your own best time on identical routes with autobelays ensuring a fair challenge. Our younger and more imaginative climbers will love the brand new section where you can scale a house or a castle, find footholds on fluffy trees, and maybe even grab onto a cloud to reach the top – see how high you can go! Finally, experienced climbers looking for a serious workout can tackle our new section featuring fresh volumes and a challenging macro route. There's a climb for everyone, no matter your age or skill level!

Sports

Get ready to elevate your game with sports, where you play your favourites as well as explore new games and sports that go beyond the ordinary. Ever played soccer in Bumper Balls? This activity loves to take the familiar and make it awesome, introducing campers to sports they wouldn't typically find in a gym class. From honing coordination and agility with games like Spikeball, Speedball, and dodgeball to Crossnet, our sports activity offers an action-packed blend of the best from gym class and some new ones. If you thrive on being active, Sports has an exciting lineup waiting just for you.

 

Ceramics 

Ceramics at Gull Lake Centre lets you get creative with clay and color! You'll get to pick a fun ceramic piece, like a mug you can actually use, a cute animal, or another fun item to personalize. Then comes the fun part – you'll use special glazes to make it totally your own with your favorite colors and designs. This activity takes place in our Gullery, the central hub for all camp artists and art supplies, conveniently located to offer protection from mosquitoes while still allowing you to enjoy the lively atmosphere and connect with others as you create. After it's fired in our kiln, you'll have a unique piece of art to take home and decorate your room, a lasting memory of your time at camp!

 

Drama

Drama at Gull Lake Centre is your chance to step into the spotlight and get creative! We have a huge collection of costumes just waiting to bring your characters to life. You'll dive into fun drama games to get your imagination going and work together to create your own hilarious and exciting sketches. Get ready to laugh, express yourself, and maybe even discover your inner performer!

 

Wakesurf

Wakesurfing at Gull Lake Centre offers an exciting opportunity to ride the waves behind our specialized wakesurf boat! You'll learn the steps to get up on a wakesurf board using a rope and feel the thrill of gliding across the water. Once you're feeling confident, you can even challenge yourself to let go of the rope and surf the boat's wake on your own. For those who've surfed before, try riding switch or spinning a full 360! Be ready to get wet, show some bravery, and stick with it to master this exciting watersport.

Tubing

Get ready for an adrenaline-packed adventure at summer camp as campers hop onto tubes hitched to a speeding boat. Gripping the handles, they'll feel the rush of wind as they skim across the lake, aiming to stay upright and avoid the refreshing plunge into the water below. The thrill intensifies as campers share laughs and excitement with friends on neighboring tubes, creating an unforgettable bonding experience. Whether it's navigating wild twists and turns or simply enjoying the ride, tubing brings the perfect mix of thrill and camaraderie to the sun-soaked days of camp.

 

Archery

Archery at Gull Lake Centre offers a great opportunity to test your aim! You'll learn the basics at our archery range and practice hitting targets to develop your skills, focusing on stance, draw, and release. We also have a hatchet throwing area where you can work on your accuracy in a different kind of challenge, learning the proper throwing technique for a satisfying thunk. Once you've got the hang of shooting, get ready for some exciting games of Archery Tag on our special course, where you can put your newfound precision to the test in a fun and active team game!

Baking

Under the summer sun, campers whip up themed cakes with flour, sugar, and laughter. It's like a creative war zone, with the campers rocking aprons, sculpting and decorating their edible masterpieces. The theme is totally up to them, whether they're vibing with a jungle safari, embarking on a cosmic journey, or chilling in a fantastical fairytale. Amid the mess, friendships rise, and a grand finale is a dessert that screams summer camp vibes. And hey, when you’re showcasing your baking skills, make sure to not just impress but blow the minds of our esteemed judges, leaving them stunned by your culinary prowess and imaginative style.

 

NEW!!!: Robotics

Robotics at Gull Lake Centre offers an engaging experience for all ages, from our youngest campers right through to Senior Teens and beyond. You'll get hands-on with your own robot and a tablet, diving into coding to strategize its movements for intense robot battles. The ultimate test is the arena, where the last robot standing is declared the winner. Beyond the competitive aspect, you can explore your creativity by programming your robot to perform interesting tasks, like executing dances, speaking programmed lines, and creating unique light patterns.

 

NEW!!!: Giant Swing

Giant Swing is a brand new, wild adventure waiting for you at Gull Lake Centre! Get ready to team up with a buddy and get harnessed into our massive tandem swing. Your fellow campers will work together to pull you way up high – a whole 40 feet in the air! Then comes the rush: you'll be released for an incredible swing, feeling the thrill and checking out the awesome views from up there. Get ready for an unforgettable experience soaring through the air with your friends!

 


Salon (Junior, Kids & Youth Camps Only)

Salon is a fun and hands-on activity just for our Junior, Kids, and Youth Camps at Gull Lake Centre! You'll get to learn some really creative ways to style hair, from braids to twists and other fun looks. First, you'll practice your new skills on a mannequin head to get the hang of it. Then, you can try out your awesome new looks on your own hair and maybe even help out your friends, showing off your styling talents!

 

Dance

Dance at Gull Lake Centre is a blast for all our campers! You'll get to learn some awesome group routines with your friends, covering everything from basic steps to more intricate choreography. Whether it's prepping for a fun performance to show off your moves or simply wanting to pick up some new skills, our great instructor will guide you through it all. Get ready for tons of laughs, a chance to express yourself through movement, and to learn some seriously fun dance skills that you can take with you!

 

Lasertag

Gear up for pulse-pounding excitement at Gull Lake's Laser Tag! This adrenaline-fueled experience takes the thrill of traditional laser tag to a whole new level. Set in either our obstacle course field or amidst the towering poplars, campers will navigate obstacles, strategize with teammates, and engage in heart-pounding battles of skill and strategy. Under the guidance of trained leaders, participants will hone their teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills while enjoying the immersive and high-energy world of laser tag at its finest.

 

Wakeboard, Waterski and Kneeboarding

Wakeboarding/Waterskiing/Kneeboarding at Gull Lake Centre offers a fantastic experience behind our waterski boat! If you're new to the water sports, you'll start by holding onto our boom – a helpful pole that extends from the side of the boat, making it super easy to get up on either a wakeboard, skis, or a kneeboard. After you get the hang of that, we'll move you to a short rope off the boom, and then you'll progress to the longer rope trailing behind the boat. For those who've done this before, you can push your skills by trying to cross the boat's wake, catch some air and jump the wake on a wakeboard, or really nail those smooth turns on waterskis. You can also try out kneeboarding, which offers a different and exciting way to ride the water. Be prepared to get wet and bring your determination to persevere as you learn and improve!
